This morning, I took three hours of leave from work to do my first 20 mile run of this year. The marathon is less than 6 weeks away, so it’s time to get serious! The run went well, especially considering I did an Oly tri last Saturday and a semi-long run Sunday. Combined, that was a big weekend for me and I questioned what kind of shape I would be in today, less than one week later. But, it all worked out well and I feel like I am exactly where I should be 6 weeks out.
Since I got back from my run, I’ve been focusing on recovery: an ice bath, compression socks, hydrating.
I’m out of town this weekend for a wedding and I’m looking forward to some R&R before Ragnar, which starts one week from tomorrow!!
