The New York City Marathon is 101 days away. Panic is starting to set in.
I’ve run three marathons before and a bunch of half marathons, so you’d think this would all be routine by now. But, alas, it is not.
Part of the problem is that running is hard, no matter how much you do it. Or, at least, how much I do it. Another part of the problem is that I am coming back from an injury that I got training for my last marathon last fall. So, I have the fear in the back of my mind that I am going to get injured again, added to the fact that I am only running five miles at a time right now. And, the race is ONLY 101 DAYS AWAY!
I’m obviously going to need to do some work to get my confidence back, in addition to, of course, doing some work on the mileage, between now and November 3rd!
Good luck training! I’m so jealous you are running the NYC Marathon this year!!
Thanks, Jamie!
